Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the latest action RPG from Don't Nod, closely mirrors RPGs that feature multiple endings. Regarding which choices you make, the ending is going to be different.
There are three endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and for two of them, you will get two different trophies/achievements; "Farewell, My Love" for one ending and "Death Is a Journey" for another, while the third ending doesn't award you with a trophy/achievement.
However, you must do several steps in order to get each one of those endings, and apart from that, you will also have to do at least two playthroughs. In this guide, we will show you how to get each ending and what the best and easiest way to do so is.
How to get all three endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
The First Ending (give Antea her ascent)
This ending is considered a good ending, not because everyone is happily ever after, but because in this ending there are the fewest casualties. In this ending, you must give Antea ascent from the world of lingering ghosts, and in order to do that, most ghosts must be given ascent as well. There are 23 haunting cases in total in the game, and each case gives you the choice of whether to sacrifice a living or to ascend or banish a ghost.
To get this ending, you must give ascent to most of the ghosts—at least 80 per cents of them, but to be sure, do even more if you can, but if you miss a couple of cases, you will still be okay.
The Second Ending (bring Antea back to life)
This ending is a bad one, but it is not all that simple, because this ending will reunite Red and Antea, and to Red, it might seem like the best one possible, but the price is definitely too high.
In order to get this ending, you must kill almost every single haunted person. Most of them are guilty and deserve death, but the moral choices behind those accusations are really tough ones, so prepare to be truly tested. Just like in the previous ending, you have to kill at least 80 per cent of haunted people, and still, the best way to be sure is to kill everyone you can. Keep in mind, however, that some cases cannot be started due to previous choices, so don't bother.
The Third Ending (the neutral one)
This is the ending you will get by casually playing the game and not worrying about which ending to get; only play as you see fit. But, in order to limit your playthroughs to only two, the best way is to choose one ending you want and focus on the main cases. Once you finish the main cases, manually save the game before the point of no return, finish the last quest, and you will get the neutral ending. Now load the manual save you made earlier and continue working on the chosen ending.
