You can switch between day and night in Assassin's Creed Valhalla by meditating but sadly, the game does a poor job of telling you that the feature actually exists.
If you have been playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla for the last several days, you probably noticed just how gorgeous the game can get during the night. In Norway, the sky is painted by stunning Northern Lights, making the gameplay during the night a sight to behold.
If you enjoy wandering the Scandinavian nature during the night you are probably wondering if you spend extra time exploring when the sunsets. And the short answer to that would be yes. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla allows you to switch between day and night by meditating but interestingly, it does a pretty poor job of telling you that the feature actually exists.
On PC, you can change the time of the day simply by holding the "K" key. On the consoles, hold the Dpad Down button to open the item wheel and select the bottom item Meditate.
That's pretty simple, right? Though, it's a bit weird that there's isn't a quest in the game that introduces you to meditation and the option to change the time of day. This was also the case in Odyssey where players had a skill on the skill tree that would allow them to switch between day and night but again, the game never really notified you of this.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is officially out now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
