New Overwatch PTR patch nerfs Mercy

Mercy got a new Ultimate ability back in August. The new ability made her very valuable on the battlefield but all that may change when the PTR patch hits the live game. Ana's Bionic Rifle was buffed.

Overwatch teams get special skins

Overwatch World Cup will be made all the more fun and watchable with the new team uniforms, an updated UI, a third person smart camera and more. The Uniform concept will premiere at BlizzCon on 03 and 04 November.

OCTOBER 27

UK gamers have started a petition for loot box regulation

Concerned individuals are petitioning the UK government to consider regulation for loot box systems in video games. The rationale behind the petition is that various loot box systems represent a form of gambling embedded into video games and should be regarded as such by the law.

The Overwatch League

For its inaugural season, the League will have a toal of 12 city-based teams. One of them is the team from Shanghai. The team, led by Chinese internet technology company NetEase is the first Overwatch League team to have an official name.

SEPTEMBER 29

The Overwatch League

Teams for Dallas, Houston, and Philadelphia have signed on for the first season of the Overwatch League. This brings the total up to the desired 12 teams. Preseason play will start on Wednesday, 06 December.

SEPTEMBER 21

Overwatch: Junkertown now live

Junkertown, the latest escort map in Overwatch is now live. Mercy and D.Va changes that were previously in the PTR have also become available on the live servers. A free Overwatch weekend is coming up this week.

SEPTEMBER 19

Overwatch sending another map to HotS

Overwatch's latest patch that brought Mercy's new ultimate to the PTR might be hitting the live servers as early as next week. Free Overwatch weekend scheduled to start on 22 September. Another Overwatch map going to HotS.

Overwatch map preview - Junkertown

Overwatch's latest escort map - Junkertown got its very own map preview. The video detailed the map's origin story and the new arena. Junkertown will be available next week.

SEPTEMBER 12

Overwatch - new patch in the PTR

Overwatch has a band new patch in the PTR. This patch will change Mercy's ultimate ability from Resurrect to Valkyrie. D.Va can now fire her Fusion Cannons while flying.

New Overwatch short

Blizzard dropped a brand new animated short today. This one is all about Mei. The short details the cheery scientist's backstory at Ecopoint: Antarctica.

Overwatch Competitive Season six changes

Jeff from the Overwatch team sat down to go through some of the changes that are waiting for you in the Competitive Season six. The season will be a month shorter but there will be more points awarded per win. Also, your skill rating decay shouldn't hurt as much anymore.

Overwatch's new escort map

Blizzard just revealed a new escort map for Overwatch. The map is set in Australian Outback. A new animated short is to be revealed during the Blizzard Reveal Ceremony on Wednesday, 23 August.
