Overwatch art book

Blizzard partnered up with Dark Horse to release an Overwatch art book. The book will come in two editions: Standard and Limited, and feature some never-before-seen art. An anthology collecting the first 12 of Overwatch comics will also be available in October.

Overwatch: Game of the Year edition

Overwatch's first year anniversary is going to happen on 24 May. Data miners scanned the Xbox Store and found the details about the Game of the Year edition as well as some info on the Anniversary Event.

MLG to focus on the Overwatch League

Activision Blizzard acquired the North American eSports league, MLG in January this year. Now they have made an esports division in the company, so the Major League Gaming will be in charge of Overwatch and Call of Duty leagues.

Overwatch raked in more than a billion

Activision Blizzard released their earnings report and, boy, it's a doozie. Overwatch has been named the "8th billion-dollar franchise in Activision Blizzard's portfolio".

Overwatch's patch 1.11 now live

Overwatch patch 1.11 is now in the PTR. Patches usually stay in the PTR for two or three weeks, and after that they are released into the wild on a Tuesday. This patch will probably go live a day before the game's first anniversary.

The Last Bastion received high honours

Last summer's The Last Bastion released by Blizzard, won the People’s Voice award for “Best Writing in Film & Video.”. Other nominees included: “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”, "Honest Trailers" and “Save Our Snowmen”. The official Webby went to “Great Performers: L.A. Noir” by The New York Times.

Expanding the Overwatch playground

Overwatch's game director, Jeff Kaplan stated that there are six new maps under development. An exact release date is still unknown.

Aim smoothing patch is on its way

Console versions of Overwatch are getting an update to fix the problems with the control scheme and to add the option to turn aim smoothing off. A time-limited PvE event set in the past is currently in effect.

Persona 5 - number one in the UK

Persona 5 is the most successful JRPG to launch in the UK since 2013. ME: Andromeda saw a severe drop in sales due to the issues with Denuvo. Overwatch is again among the top ten on the UK game sales chart.

Overwatch comic

Uprising is the twelfth Overwatch comic and deals with the events leading up to the fall of Overwatch. In the comic you can see a young Tracer as a cadet and a slew of familiar faces to boot.

Overwatch

King's Row uprising event will probably feature a playable component and be the first event in Overwatch which is not real-world related. Widowmaker is getting a legendary skin, and a new hero may be on the horizon.

Overwatch teaser - what does it mean?

Blizzard have posted an Overwatch teaser which points to something happening with the game on April 12. There's a glimpse of a new skin for Tracer - and some kind of QR code. All very mysterious.
