Marathon is a sci-fi PvP extraction shooter from Bungie — the studio behind Halo and Destiny 2 — and a reimagining of its original 1994 FPS trilogy. Set on the abandoned colony planet of Tau Ceti IV in 2893, players become Runners: cybernetic mercenaries who drop into hostile zones to scavenge loot, fight rival crews, and extract safely. Teams of up to three compete against AI security forces and other players across escalating zones, carrying everything from a successful run into future matches.
