Elite Dangerous is purging bugs in big January update

Frontier Developments have announced a big January 2020 update for their space sim Elite Dangerous. The update will be exclusively focused on addressing recent and longstanding issues and bugs.

Frontier Developments have dropped a new major update for Elite Dangerous. It contains a new starter experience, in-game currency and more customisations for everyone's vessels.

SEPTEMBER 18

Elite: Dangerous expedition kill count

Elite: Dangerous repeatedly sees some of the largest community-organised events, such as the Distant Suns and Distant Worlds expeditions. Distant Worlds 2 was the most recent ones and about 9,000 players died in-game over its course.

Elite: Dangerous Fleet Carriers are coming

Frontier Developments took their opportunity at Lavecon to announce the content coming in the near future for Elite: Dangerous. The announcement covered content up until December 2019 including a new starting experience and Fleet Carriers.

Elite Dangerous - 2.3.01 damage control patch

Frontier Developments will be releasing a major bug fixing patch to address the issues their latest update caused in Elite: Dangerous. The 2.3.01 patch will be released in early May 2017 and is preceded by a heartfelt apology by the devs.

APRIL 18

Elite Dangerous update to help new Commanders

Frontier Developments' next update for their space sim Elite Dangerous is coming on 23 April 2019, and it should make a game a bit easier for newly-created Commanders. It will also add new modules and free module slots for everyone.

Over 10.000 players have come together for a group expedition in Elite: Dangerous. The expedition is dubbed Distant Worlds 2 and it has been successful thus far, for the most part. Some unlucky pilots met their end at a hostile planet.

Elite Dangerous getting two brand new ships

Frontier Developments have announced that Elite Dangerous: Beyond - Chapter Four will add two new ships once it launches. The ships for some reason bear snake-like names, since one is called Mamba and the other is dubbed Krait Phantom.

NOVEMBER 9

Elite Dangerous Beyond Chapter 4 beta date

Frontier Developments have announced that Elite Dangerous' last major update in 2018 will initially be available for the owners of Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizons on 23 October 2018, when a staged beta will take place.

OCTOBER 16

Elite Dangerous Chapter Two release date

Frontier Developments have anounced that Chapter Two of the Beyond series will be released on 28 June 2018. The update will not incur additional cost and it will bring a new ship, wing missions, installation interactions and more Thargoids.
