The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year it's been announced by CD Projekt Red. The trailer has been revealed during Nintendo's E3 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation, providing only a glimpse of gameplay.

Just like some earlier rumours and leaks suggested, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to Nintendo's hybrid console Switch in its Complete Edition that includes all updates, free and paid expansions.

There is no specific release date at the moment, but the trailer reveals that Geralt should slay monsters on Switch sometime this year. It will be available in both digital and retail versions and the latter comes with some extra Witcher-themed goodies including the game map, The Witcher Universe: Compendium and a couple of stickers.

As for the expansions, those who played The Witcher 3 earlier probably know just how much content Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions bring. Both could be sold as standalone games and offer some of the best stories we've seen in DLCs. You'll also get an additional 16 DLCs that add various quests, new armour and other content.

CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game does not support cross save so if you hoped to continue your adventure from PC, PS4 or Xbox One, that won't be possible, unfortunately.

As for the visuals, well, judging by the trailer, the downgrade is really noticeable, especially at the beginning of the trailer where the iconic Hanged Man's Tree can be seen. It appears that the game is running entirely on the console hardware, instead of using the cloud-based system that some other demanding games used.

However, there are a couple of gameplay shots in the trailer and everything appears to be running fine but don't get your hopes up just yet, it's just a short teaser trailer.

More details about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Switch are expected later this year. Until then, check out the teaser trailer above and for more info visit the official website.
