The Witcher 3 patch for Switch is out in Korea and it is a pretty big one. Apparently, it adds a cross-save feature with Steam and GOG and improves picture quality for a much sharper image.
The Witcher 3 on Switch is an outstanding achievement from CD Projekt Red but that does not mean that the developers don't have plans to improve the game even further by optimising its performance on Nintendo's hybrid console.
According to players over at Nintendo Switch subreddit, The Witcher 3 on Switch, or should we say, Switcher, has received a brand new patch, which is now live in Korea and should be coming to the rest of the world soon.
It is a pretty major patch that brings a couple of pretty amazing features. First, it adds cross-save support for Steam and GOG, which means you can start playing the game at home on your PC and continue on your Switch while you are on the train. Now, that is one uber-cool addition.
On top of this, the patch also improves the visual quality of the game. As seen in the screenshots comparison here , The Witcher 3 looks much sharper in the new version. According to Korean players, the update adds eight new graphic FX options including Bloom, Sharpen, Depth of Field, DoF for Cut-scenes, Chromatic Aberration, Water Quality, Foliage Visibility Range and Anti-Aliasing.
At the moment, CD Projekt Red are yet to officially announce the new patch but since it is already out in Korea, it is probably just a matter of time before it arrives worldwide.
