The Division - Yup, close enough.

If the game's 1.8.1 patch notes are anything to go by, fans of Ubisoft, Tom Clancy and the Division will be having an April to remember with two new Legendary modes, two events, Xbox One X tweaks, etc. Also, we lied - Ubisoft has no fans.

Despite the recent announcement of The Division 2, Ubisoft seem intent on propping up the original until its successor arrives. Therefore, The Division will be getting two Legendary mission modes for Amherst's Apartment and Grand Central Station.

Xbox One X owners are finally getting some love with the Division's new patch promising 4K rendering, higher anisotropy and improvements in reflections, object detail and screen-space shadows.

Of course, the faithful fans who have chosen to stick around and watch The Division desperately grasp at straws, most likely all 7 of them, will probably be glad they did, seeing as how The Division is getting two Global Events.

The first event is called Blackout and will be available in April. As the name subtly hints, Agents will only be shooting Shock Ammo, replenishing the Charge meter by shooting and running.

Extreme Blackout is more or less the same, except for being able to instakill enemies using Overcharged melee. Note however that if you miss - you'll be stunning your whole team. We guess you could say The Division has finally become stunning. Total Blackout is like the Extreme, with slight emphasis on co-op, as teammate proximity buffs your Charge meter cooldown.

Ubisoft say that come May 2018, the Division will get the Onslaught Event, with normal Agent damage reinforced with burn, bleed and gas effects to enemies. Much like the Blackout, Onslaught comes with two variants as well.

Savage Onslaught will make some enemies immunity to one of these, while vulnerable to others. Brutal Onslaught grants a free reload to all your teammates who take part in killing a vulnerable enemy under two seconds.

The patch launches on 12 April 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can find the full list of changes in the Division's Official patch notes.
