Massive have detailed The Division 2's long-awaited Transmogrification or Appearance Mods feature, which is set to be introduced in the next major content drop - Title Update 11.
The Division 2's Title Update is coming soon and it's set to introduce the long-awaited Appearance Mods or Transmogrification, which allows players to change the appearance of their gear beyond the normal dye and colouration.
You'll get to change your chest piece, mask, backpack, kneepads, holster and gloves to look like a similar piece of a different brand. Massive confirm that all armour gear, from common grey to the high-end gold rarity. Exotics cannot have their appearance changed, though.
The process of changing the look of your equipment will be fairly simple. Just inspect a gear item as you were going to change the mods or add another dye and you'll notice a brand new option named Mod Appearance.
This option features a wide variety of potential looks that you can choose for your gear based on the gear you acquired while playing. It's good to know that Appearance Mods unlocked on one character will be available across all your agents.
Of course, changing the look of your gear will not change its performance - attributes, set bonuses, rolls and mods will persist from the original gear. You will also get to dye Modified gear as normal. Appearance Mods can be changed, removed, or replaced just like standard mods or just like gear dye.
You can find a detailed breakdown of Mod Appearance on Ubisoft's official website.
