Warhammer 40,000 fans are getting an opportunity to strike back at daddy Nurgle today as Chaos Gate - Daemonhunter launches, pitting the Grey Knights against a Primarch who shares intimate history with them.
No, by "intimate", we don't mean some weird W40K Rule 34 thing. Grey Knights will face Mortarion, who once slew their Supreme Grandmaster and has been humiliated by his successor afterwards. This makes Chaos Gate - Daemonhunter a grudge match on space steroids where we get to control some of the most badass units Imperium of Man has to offer.
Anyway, the game has officially launched on May 5, 2022. One day earlier and we could have wished the Force to be with Gollum .
In case you missed our preview of Daemonhunters, the game's UI might at first alienate fans who are used to the dark and gritty feeling of everything in Warhammer 40K universe but the moment you look behind the book's covers, you will discover many things to like and the game will likely suck you in for tens of hours of brutal fun.
In case an encounter with a Primarch in a highly cinematic turn-based RPG where we control the Grey Knights didn't sell you on the game yet, our review will be up next week for an in-depth analysis of the good, the bad and the ugly.
Should you decide to purchase Daemonhunters, the game is available on both Steam and Epic Games Store at the price of £34.99/$44.99/€44.99. Alternatively, you can grab the Castellan Champion Edition for £44.99/$54.99/€54.99, if you wish to get the original soundtrack and a unique Grey Knight.
