Mass Effect Legendary Edition has knocked Capcom's Resident Evil: Village off the top spot of UK physical sales chart for the week ending May 15, 2021.

The long-awaited remake of the iconic space opera Mass Effect has finally arrived and as expected, the fans of Bioware's RPG have pushed the game to the No. 1 spot on UK physical sales chart, which has been taken by Capcom's Resident Evil Village for the past week.

And while Mass Effect Legendary Edition has managed to sell plenty of copies, it seems that players opted for digital copies since the game sold half of what last week's Resident Evil: Village managed. Digital sales data for the game is currently not available but it's very likely that the majority of sales are indeed digital and the game performed much better than physical numbers suggest.

Additionally, PlayStation 5 was back in stock this week, which boosted Spider-Man: Miles Morales to third on the list. It seems PS5 owners really like the look of Insomniac's creation.
