Ubisoft have revealed the post launch map for The Crew 2 in what would normally be a PR disaster video, but thankfully Battlefield V already set the bar high so The Crew 2 post launch content is going to qualify as only a minor mess.

Ubisoft's video revealing the upcoming content for The Crew 2 started out a little shy. By "shy" I mean Rajesh Koothrappali in the presence of a female human being shy, since the video literally at first. This was quickly rectified, but unfortunately the script wasn't as lucky as the audio.

When Sofiane Brahimi, the live content manager, finally got his vocal chords back, he opened the post launch content announcement by saying Ubisoft don't want their players to be stuck behind a paywall 37 seconds into the video. It took Brahimi exactly 17 seconds to completely reverse that statement when he announced that three vehicles will be exclusive to season pass owners. He even noted they are there "for the best possible headstart".

This contradiction led viewers to start wondering what's in the video before airing it. To make matters even more confusing, it appears that Ubisoft actually genuinely attempted to delete the paywall since the season pass will only offer a 20 per cent discount in the in-game shop beside the three vehicles on day 1. Everything else will be free, which left some of the YouTube viewers perplexed, since there doesn't seem to be much incentive to spend money on the season pass.

The Crew 2 will have regular updates, with three months between each of them, featuring new activities, cars and disciplines. The first update in the queue will be Gator Rush which will actually add five vehicles, thanks to the introduction of hovercraft. All of the new content will be free, and Gator Rush will debut in September 2018.

December will hold a new update which is not named yet, but Ubisoft have confirmed that it will add a PvP mode. Brahimi noted that these four updates are only the beginning since they aim to add new content to The Crew in years to come.
