The Last of Us Part 2 hasn't had the best of times lately but if its sales keep picking up momentum, Naughty Dog's game could easily become Sony's most successful game.
As reported by IGN Brasil, The Last of Us 2 has had an awesome start in the country, overtaking Kratos and God of War in the number of preorders. The publication claims this makes it the best pre-selling Sony exclusive in the country.
Apparently, you're more likely to find a unicorn than a special edition of The Last of Us Part 2 over there. Thankfully, standard ones are still available, with a healthy reserve of all-digital downloads via PlayStation's store.
We can only hope that Naughty Dog's fortunes have changed after the recent leak (which we will not be discussing), which almost spoiled The Last of Us Part 2 for many players. The dev even resorted to using Twitter's new features in order to keep their posts spoiler-free, and you can see why.
If it's any consolation, they say that all the stories have long been told and even if we were to learn everything we can about The Last of Us Part 2, it's still only a fraction of what the game entails.
To really experience Naughty Dog's masterful craftsmanship at work - it's not enough to just read the story or run through an action scene - it's the combination of it all.
The Last of Us 2 is, of course, a PlayStation exclusive and it launches on June 19, 2020. It should also be the PS4's last hoorah, along with Ghost of Tsushima, but it appears that Naughty Dog is well ahead in the numbers game.
