Image and Form Games who are working hard on their action game The Gunk have officially confirmed that their title will be a console exclusive for Xbox Series X and Xbox One. It won't be coming to PS5 and Switch.
Image and Form Games' third-person action-adventure title The Gunk was one of the most impressive games that we got to see at Xbox Games Showcase earlier this year. And while many assumed the game will be coming to all major platforms, despite its reveal at the Xbox event, the developers have made it clear that their creation has found its home on Xbox.
Speaking to GamingBolt, game director Ulf Hartelius clarified that the studio wanted to find a strong partner for their biggest title yet.
"Since making this game is such a big step for us we knew we wanted to find a strong partner and Microsoft had been excited about it since our earliest conversations," he explained.
When asked if The Gunk could arrive to other consoles sometime after the release on Xbox and PC, Hartelius simply responded: "Unfortunately not.".
So there you have it, folks, The Gunk will indeed be a console exclusive for Microsoft's current and next-gen hardware. That being said, keep in mind that things can always change so perhaps there is a small chance that The Gunk arrives to PS5 and Switch in a couple of years. For the time being, though, this gorgeous-looking action-adventure will be available only to PC and Xbox players.
The Gunk is officially hitting the shelves this September for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
