The Division State of the Game has rolled out details about Global Event Blackout and confirmed its launch date and time. Ubisoft have announced the event will run from Monday, 23 April 2018 and masks for the event have been confirmed.

The Division's official Twitter posted an announcement that State of the Game will be happening on 19 April 2018 at 4 PM GMT for Europe, 11 AM EDT or 8 AM PDT for USA. This stream briefed viewers on Global Event Blackout's details, which prompted people to ask when the event will actually start.

Well, the date is in and the event is starting on 23 April 2018 and it's due to close on 30 April 2018. Global Event Blackout will feature four Classified sets - Tactician's Authority, Striker's Battlegear, DeadEye and D3-FNC. The masks were also shown and it turned out that the leak we posted earlier was correct, unfortunately. You can see the players' in Twitch chat.

Ubisoft Six new masks in different colours are shown for the new events in The Division. The Division - Top row are supposedly Blackout masks and the bottom are Outbreak masks.

Blackout's global effect will charge players' weapons up which will increase their damage output. Extreme Blackout will add another functionality - if players overcharge the weapon, they will get stunned, but if the charge meter reaches only the first milestone, players can melee an enemy for an instant kill. Missing a charged melee will stun the entire friendly squad though.

Total Blackout will have the previous two functionalities, but nearby teammates will also charge the players' weapons. This is a double edged sword, as it can help boost damage but it can also become a stun fiesta. A simple life hack will help everyone here though - bring Support Station with the Immuniser mod and group up in its area of effect. This will help players charge weapons up to the maximum rather easy and they will be immune to the stuns.

Considering there will be a pile of farming with the new event, players may need a little help with keeping the loot organised. Here is a little that will help you keep track of which Classified gear piece you have collected in order to empty your inventory quicker.
