Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is undoubtedly League of Legends' GOAT but he's not done writing history. He was pronounced Shanghai Esports Association ambassador during an esports event in the city.
Faker has won the League of Legends World Championship three times. Today, it comes out as a third of all World Championships held so far but at the time he won his third, it was literally half of all World Championships until that point.
His achievements are numerous, accrued over a rich esports career, but he just added another notch to his belt. During Esports Shanghai Masters 2019, he was designated as Shanghai-Seoul esports ambassador by the Shanghai Esports Association. Considering the player's worldwide popularity, it is easy to figure that the association couldn't pick a batter candidate.
Considering that one of the pictures, featured above, contains a smiling Faker, one has to ponder the possibility of supernatural abilities Shanghai Esports Association might posses.
Anyway, while Shanghai Masters contains some of the most famous players to grace League of Legends' esports scene through the retired all-stars teams, Faker's off-stage activities will continue elsewhere, on account of him not retiring yet.
Namely, the star mid laner will appear at the Champions for Charity event in Last Vegas, Nevada, in early December 2019. The event will be raising money for the Bahamian relief effort and there will be other familiar faces around, such as Rick Fox.
The charity stream will run for 24 hours and will run along with the League of Legends All-Star 2019 event.
