According to the latest rumours, Starfield is targeting the Autumn 2022 release window, not early 2022 as previously speculated. The game is set to be showcased at E3.
Bethesda's sci-fi RPG game Starfield has been in development for many years and as we get closer and closer to the official reveal, rumours about the game and potential release date are starting to surface online.
According to various, trusted sources, Starfield is set to appear at this year's E3 show, where Xbox and Bethesda will tease the game and reveal new details, which will hopefully include a release date, which is set for late 2022.
Earlier rumours suggested that the game may launch in early 2022 or even late 2021 but it looks like that will certainly not be the case, according to reliable industry journalist Jason Schreier , who claims that the game is not yet completed as some claimed and that it's coming in Autumn 2022.
Schreier also states that Bethesda will indeed showcase Starfield in just a couple of weeks at E3 2021 but the scope of the reveal is yet to be confirmed. We do not know if they plan to drop just a small trailer or a full gameplay presentation. The latter looks more likely, though.
Anyway, while this will certainly disappoint many fans who are eager to get their hands on Bethesda's next big thing, it's really important to let the devs do their job and optimise the game properly so it's an enjoyable experience for everyone once it launches.
Bethesda's games are kinda notorious for having a fair amount of bugs at launch, at the publisher will certainly want to squash that reputation with their new mammoth title.
