Serie A will be fully licenced in eFootball PES 2020

Italian championship Serie A will be fully licenced in Konami's upcoming football simulation Pro Evolution Soccer 2020, the publisher announced. The licence brings the official trophy, Serie A logo, team names and associated badges.

Recently, Konami announced an exclusive partnership with Italian champions Juventus to fully licence the club in their upcoming football simulation Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 (PES 2020).

Today, Konami have even more surprises for those who enjoy Italian footie every weekend. The Japanese publisher officially confirmed that Italian League Serie A will be fully licenced in PES 2020, meaning that the league badge, trophy, team names and some other associated badges will appear in the game.

However, the licence doesn't mean that every Serie A team will be fully licenced as Konami noted in their announcement. While FIFA 20 players will have to deal with Piemonte Calcio as Juventus, the rest of teams in Serie A including AS Roma, Inter and AC Milan will be fully licenced in EA Sports' simulation.

Despite this, Konami are certainly stepping up their game and are bringing more and more leagues to PES series, after they lost probably their most valuable asset - The Champions League - to FIFA last year. Hopefully, Serie A is just a start and we see more reveals as the game's release date inches closer.

Furthermore, Konami are expected to reveal new details about PES 2020 during Gamescom 2019, which is officially set to start tomorrow - 20 August 2019. While the publisher are yet to reveal what exactly can players expect at Gamescom 2019 when it comes to PES 2020, we assume they will talk more about the redesigned Master League, which packs several new features.

PES 2020 is officially hitting the shelves on 10 September 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more news about the game, take a look at our detailed between PC and PlayStation 4 versions of the PES 2020 demo.
