After seven years in Early Access, SCUM has officially launched version 1.0 and is now available on Steam for for £39.99 / €44.99 / $44.99. Developed over the course of a decade, the full release of this open-world survival game from Gamepires introduces a significant update with a full graphical rework, new gameplay features, and technical improvements aimed at enhancing the overall player experience.
Alongside the graphical overhaul, the game now features a new anti-cheat system to provide a more stable and fair multiplayer experience on official servers.
Version 1.0 also introduces new vehicles, including a Seaplane, Sports Bike, and Tractor, offering more mobility options. Armed NPCs are now active in the world, creating additional challenges and opportunities for looting.
All in all, it's a pretty substantial piece of content for the official 1.0 launch, and I think I'm gonna try this one again soon. It does look like Gamepires have managed to deliver a pretty great game.
