Ebb Software, the developer of the bizarre horror Scorn have confirmed that the game's Xbox Series X demo which was showcased at the Inside Xbox event last month actually run on Ryzen CPU and RTX 2080Ti.
Scorn was one of the most impressive games at Inside Xbox event where Microsoft showcased some third-party titles that will be coming to their new console. In addition to bizarre but stunning visual design and graphic fidelity, Scorn will be one of the games that will fully utilise the power of the new console. It will run in native 4K resolution and 60 FPS with ray-tracing.
However, it looks like the gameplay demo we've seen on the Inside Xbox event was not running on Xbox Series X, instead, the gameplay and graphics we've seen were "in-engine footage representative of expected Xbox Series X visual quality".
According to Ebb Software's Game Director, Ljubomir Peklar the trailer was actually running on Nvidia RTX 2080Ti graphics card and Ryzen processor.
"Now, this is a tricky question as for some reason a lot of people feel that it should be quite easy to get 4K 60FPS on the PC even with this graphical fidelity, and that really isn't the case. For the showcase, we used 2080Ti and a Ryzen processor just because there was no reason not to use it," Peklar explained . "A 2070 Super with a mixture of settings is adequate to run the game at 4K 60FPS"
Fortunately, it looks like you won't need the top of the line GPU to run the game at 4K which is always good news for those who have graphics cards closer to mid-range. As for Xbox Series X version, Ebb already confirmed it's the best console they have ever worked on so you can expect great performance regardless of your preferred platform.
