Star Wars Battlefront 3 is in early development and should be coming in late 2023, according to the latest rumours. The game is positioned to take a new direction for the series that will Distinguish itself from the last two Installments.
Recently, LucasFilm Games and Ubisoft announced a brand new Star Wars game that would be developed by Massive Entertainment, the creators of The Division series. This, of course, means that EA no longer have the exclusive licence to produce Star Wars games, which is something that made many gamers happy.
To be fair, EA never really used the full potential of the licence and it's for the best to allow other developers to try and create something with the beloved sci-fi franchise.
Despite these new partnerships, EA will continue to work on Star Wars games and according to rumours, they at least two in development right now. One of them is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order while the other one is a third Battlefront game.
According to the latest rumour from Reddit , Battlefront 3 is very early in development since most of the team is working on Battlefield 6. The announcement should be coming in the next couple of months but don't expect to see a full trailer. It's most likely a blog post, confirming the existence of the game.
