Star Wars: Battlefront sold well and proceeded to confuse and disappoint almost everyone who decided that EA is a good guardian of choice for the venerable franchise and their money. The pew-pew shooter is now free for EA's most loyal.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be available for zero money, for EA Access and Origin Access subscribers, starting on 13 December 2017.

The game released on PlayStation4, xBox One and PC in November last year. Since then it's been the usual mess of DLCs, season passes, and carrot dangling that makes everyone love EA so much. The current batch of season passes appears to be on sale for EA Access and Origin Access subscribers.
