If you happen to have both the PlayStation 4 and a sense of humour, you'll be delighted to hear that our beloved, psycho grandad Rick and his walnut wrapping nephew Morty are coming to PSVR on 10 April, 2018. If not, go sit next to Jerry.
The game will launch on both analog and digital versions when it comes out, with a suggested price tag of $30. You should expect a similar figure only in pounds, seeing as how Europeans traditionally get the shorter end of the proverbial financial stick in these things.
The US price tag for Virtual Rick-ality stands at $29.99, which converts to £17.09, In the UK, those price tags stand at £22.99, which converts to $32.25. This would effectively mean that Brits buying the game in the US would save £1.61.
We've learned that the game will get a Special Edition as well, although the date is still anyone's guess. We know it will contain a Funko Pop! Rick and Morty vinyl figure and a double sided poster of Rick and Morty comic book art. So no plumbuses? Or is it plumbi? Hmmm.
Developed by Owlchemy Labs and published by Adult Swim Games, Virtual Rick-ality on windows and boasted compatibility with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Owlchemy made their for their virtual reality title Job Simulator, they-took-our-jobs kind of simulation for those idle rainy days.
Having said that, Virtual Rick-ality has been described as an adaptation of Job Simulator 2016 and a good one at that apparently. It launched to favourable reviews and has been praised for accurately conveying the chaotic tornado of domestic trivialities and cosmic catastrophes that help mould the Rick we know and love.
The PS4 version of Virtual Rick-ality had been announced sometime towards the end of 2017, although there was little to go by at the time. With April around the corner, it may be time for PlayStation owners to mull over that PSVR purchase and if you stay tuned, we may just point you to a pretty sweet deal.
