EA studio Respawn Entertainment have three Star Wars games in the works at the moment including a brand new Star Wars Jedi title and a new first-person shooter.
We're getting a brand new Star Wars Jedi game from Respawn Entertainment as well as two brand new Star Wars games. EA and Lucas Games announced the news in today's press release, confirming that they are joining forces to continue delivering "all-new, world-class gaming experiences set within the beloved Star Wars galaxy."
Respawn confirmed that one of the games in development is a new Star Wars Jedi title, potentially a sequel to the critically acclaimed Fallen Order. The second game that Respawn are currently working on is a brand new first-person shooter. Sadly, Respawn didn't give us the title for this one just yet.
The third game is from a strategy genre, developed with a newly formed studio Bit Reactor, helmed by games industry veteran Greg Goerstch, who is known for the XCOM games so it's safe to assume that the game could be a turn-based tactics title. "Respawn will produce the new Star Wars strategy game while Bit Reactor leads on the development of the title," it's written in the press release.
Respawn say that the work is already underway on all three of these projects and the team are actively looking to add more talent to speed up the development process.
The press release does not mention when we'll get to see these games in action but the EA Play show which could be happening this summer is one of the events where the publisher could announce some of these games.
