Resident Evil 3 "Director's Cut" named Nemesis Edition is reportedly a real thing and could be announced at Tokyo Games Show 2021 later this month.
According to an alleged leak that surfaced online , Resident Evil 3 is getting an expanded edition, which could be revealed at the upcoming Tokyo Games Show 2021. Apparently, this expanded version of the remake will bring new content such as new cutscenes and new areas including Police Station and Clock Tower, which will be shorter and different from the original.
On top of this, there are new enemy types and old areas will be bigger and more open and more importantly interconnected like in Resident Evil 2.
Here's the breakdown of the leak:
- New Weapons
- Resistance Mode Revamped with new features and game modes
- Minor Graphics Update for next-gen and addition of ray-tracing features
- FSR and DLSS 2.0 on PC
- Updated Story with references to VIIlage and RE4 Remake
- Reworked Nemesis - Will use flamethrower and rocket launcher outside of boss battles. Will follow you into most safe rooms, but will be slower.
As always with unconfirmed reports, we suggest you take this with a huge grain of salt until more reliable sources corroborate these details. It would certainly be amazing to get an expanded release of Resident Evil 3 Remake, which was a great but very short experience.
Capcom's Tokyo Games Show 2021 will probably feature some Resident Evil news and if the recent leaked list is correct , a special announcement for 25 years of Resident Evil could be this Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Edition reveal.
