League of Legends players have been growing impatient with champions who didn't receive a skin for 1,000 days or more but Riot Games will put an end to that in 2020 when Rek'Sai and the majority of the club get the new cosmetics.
Riot Games will release over 120 skins over the course of 2020 which is the most that happened in a single year ever since League of Legends came to be. Naturally, the popular champions such as Lux, Ezreal, Ahri and Kai'Sa will get their share of the new cosmetics but in a somewhat unusual twist of fate, so will the members of the 1,000 day club.
For those unfamiliar with the term, it refers to the champions who didn't receive a skin for 1,000 or more days. The most likely reason is that skins for unpopular champions don't sell as well as Lux ones but Riot are going to break up the club in 2020 anyway.
So far, the company confirmed skins for:
Most of them are the members of the 1,000 day club with Skarner and Xerath leading the list. They were without a new skin for 1,725 days or just under five years. There are some other members of the infamous club who are not confirmed to receive new cosmetics in 2020 but it doesn't mean they won't.
Furthermore, Riot Games announced they are going to launch new creative thematics that will be developed during the year so expect more skin variation and not just more champions added in Project, Mecha and Warring Kingdoms pools. That's not to say some won't be getting such skins but we will get more variety, regardless.
