There's less than a week left until Rockstar launch their Western masterpiece Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and those who preordered can start preloading the game through Rockstar's launcher, so they're locked and loaded on launch day.

Red Dead Redemption 2 comes with a bit of extra oomph compared to the console release, starting with the most obvious improvement - graphics. There's no shortage of eye candy in the game and we can't wait to see some high-res Wild West shots from PC bandits.

"The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons and more", Rockstar wrote in their announcement.

At launch, PC version of Red Dead Redemption will have three new Bounty Hunter missions, two Gang hideouts, two Treasure Maps, four new weapons, new horses, trinkets, and more.

Players who insist on using Steam will have to wait until December, but Rockstar's launcher, Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, Game Stop and a few others have Red Dead Redemption 2 in stock.

There's also a 25 Gold Bar bonus for Red Dead Online if you preorder and while we're normally not big on preorders, or recommending others to do so, there's very little new to be said about Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2's PC version has been rumoured almost since the console editions launched, but almost all of them were based on developer resumes, rather than actual leaks. Take-Two ended up saying it's Rockstar's call whether it ends up on PC so nothing else to do but get that saddle ready.
