Krafton are adding a Squid Game-like game mode to PUBG Mobile but interestingly, this will not be an official crossover with the popular Netflix TV series.
It was only a matter of time before someone added a Squid Game-like game mode to one of the popular battle royale titles. Krafton have seemingly done it first for PUBG Mobile but this new game mode won't be an official crossover with Netflix, which is quite odd given that Krafton often team up with different companies for various crossovers.
The trailer, which you can check out below shows a nearly identical setting like the one in the popular TV series but replaces the giant killer girl with a creepy pink rabbit. The mode even has the iconic landscape painted on the walls of the arena, which is another major similarity.

Why exactly did Krafton decide to release a mode that is so similar to Squid Game, yet it's not an official crossover, it remains a mystery for now. Perhaps they could not agree on a deal with Netflix in a short time frame, or perhaps, Netflix, who are entering the video games market are looking to release their own Squid Game video game, who knows.
