Bandai Namco announced the first expansion pack for Project Cars 2. The DLC will bring eight new cars and two new tracks. The Fun Pack will be available in winter for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Project Cars 2 publisher Bandai Namco recently announced the first expansion pack for the game. Named the Fun Pack, the DLC will bring eight new cars, two new circuits, six Vehicle liveries from major esports racing teams, and four new Invitational Events.
The circuits: You can expect a retro version of the Brands Hatch Rallycross Historic circuit from the late ’80s and the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross.
Three rallycross legends that will offer to take you across the finish line of the Brands Hatch Rallycross Historic circuit are: Ford RS200 Evolution, Renault R5 Maxi Turbo, and Audi Sport Quattro S1. These are "the most brutal, violent, and dangerous cars in motorsport history, banned 500+bhp Group B monsters that astonished a generation of rallycross fans at Brands Hatch Rallycross Historic circuit in the late-’80s".
The Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross will further build on Project Cars 2's line-up of rallycross content. Here, you'll be given a chance to drive Matthias Ekstrom’s Audi S1 EKS RX quattro, and Petter Solberg’s Citroën DS3 RX Supercar.
The remaining three cars are a trio of custom vehicles driven by Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.: Vaughn’s bespoke offroad 1969 Ford Bronco "Brocky", a 960bhp Ford Mustang RTR Spec - 5D and a Mustang '66 RTR.
"Always sideways dirt-racing action comes to Project Cars 2 with the Fun Pack that also includes 6 Vehicle liveries from major esports racing teams, and 4 new Invitational Events" adds the announcement.
The one piece of news the announcement failed to provide is a release date for the DLC. They did, however, give a release window and now we know that the Fun Pack will be available this winter for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
