All three ancient Legendary Pokemon: Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza are back in Raid Battles around the world. This Legendary week has a challenge for the Trainers. The outcome will be determined by the number of monsters caught.

Pokemon GO's Legendary Week is now live. According to Niantic and The Pokemon Company, the word "week" in the title of the event is open to interpretation as it will go on until 05 March 2018.

Groudon and Kyogre are back in Raid Battles around the world, along with Rayquaza. Pokemon GO Legendary Week has also brought a global challenge.

If you manage to defeat Rayquaza more times than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokemon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) will be more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokemon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) will be more likely to hatch.

This Legendary week will give you a chance to catch all three ancient Legendary Pokemon, originally from the Hoenn region. Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza each have their own strengths and weaknesses, so we suggest you power up your strongest Pokemon and team up with your friends to maximise your chances.

Pokemon GO's second is scheduled to kick off on Saturday 24 February 2018. You'll have three hours to catch and evolve the rare dragon type Pokemon Dratini. If you manage to evolve it twice, it and all other Dratinis in your Pokedex will learn a special move - Draco Meteor.

Pokemon GO EX Raid Battle invites have now been . The next Battle is scheduled to happen on Monday, 26 February 2018. Niantic's changes to the invite criteria are in effect which means that more Trainers should get the invites and more Gyms and sponsored locations will be able to host the upcoming Raid Battles.

Also, the next EX Raid Battle will take place at gyms that fit Niantic's "old" Level 12 S2 cell criteria. If you have a higher level Gym Badge or you've completed more Raid Battles in any location in the week before the invites got sent out, you probably got one. If not, keep at it and better luck next time.
