Slovakian retailer Progamingshop have listed PlayStation 5 price on their website as €499. The product description also mentions that PlayStation 5 will release on 04 December 2019.
Recently, Sony officially confirmed that their next-gen console is named PlayStation 5, as expected, and that it's hitting the shelves sometime during Holiday season in 2020. The Japanese tech giant also revealed some other details about the hardware but the pricing info was missing and we'll have to wait a bit longer before Sony reveals just how much money players would need to fork out to get the new console once it finally drops.
However, according to Slovakian retailer Progamingshop, PlayStation 5 will be priced at €499/$557/£429. The store along with the images of PS5 devkit and the controller, which may not be how PlayStation 5 and Dualshock 5 will look in its final version.
Progamingshop also allows its customers to click "I am interested" button so they get notified once the product is available but there is no pre-order option at the moment. In the product description, there's a ton of details about the console including the hardware and other features but the most interesting part is the release date, which is not set to Holiday 2020, instead, Progamingshop claim that PlayStation 5 will launch on 04 December 2019.
This is indeed the release window mentioned by Sony but we doubt that the company will push the release date so late into the holiday shopping season. It's worth noting that the store put a disclaimer at the very bottom of the page. "Images are for illustration only, final product may be different! Information about this product is not final yet, it may change," it's written in the note.
And while this info may sound legit to some, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt just like any other rumour, leak or unconfirmed information. That being said, the PlayStation 5 base model price is unlikely to go higher than €499. For more info on PlayStation 5 price, .
