If you're a fan of Overwatch but still haven't jumped on board, you've got a lovely holiday gift coming from camp Blizzard - two weeks worth of Overwatch for free.
The offer lasts until January 4, 2021, so you've ample time to download and play, especially if your New Year's Eve is spent online.
If by some cosmic chance you didn't come across Overwatch - it's a team-based shooter with a huge community and competitive league. In other words, you should try it if only to know what it is.
Overwatch fans have been wondering about Overwatch 2 for a while now, as Blizzard didn't say much since the announcement, and they recently got their prayers answered by Jeff Kaplan.
He told the fans that Overwatch 2 will be featured on BlizzConline, which is slated for February 19 and 20, 2021. Of course, if you're not interested in the PvE component or the slight graphics improvements, you'll still effectively play the same game with a regular copy of Overwatch.
Kaplan also spoke about the new map, Kanezaka, which is meant to be packed to the brim with lore, for those that know where to look. There's also a central cafe that has all the developers' cats, as well as a ton of Easter Eggs for fans to track down.
Kanezaka happens to be a direct result of Blizzard staffing up for Overwatch 2, and one of the map designers ultimately made a map nobody could say no to.
So, if you're still pondering what to play towards the end of the year, Overwatch should probably make the list of potential candidates.
