Blizzard's flurry of announcements about Overwatch 2 took a gander at some individual heroes and the various degrees of their changes.
Overwatch 2 will look to refresh the PvP as well as introduce a pile of PvE missions, which means heroes will get to see some major changes, regardless of their role.
In Winston's case, the tickle gun can be useful against squishies in close quarters but his biggest weakness is if they manage to escape with their life before his jump comes off cooldown. Blizzard will give him a tool to deal with these situations as well, come OW2.
The ape scientist will get a charged attack on his alt-fire, letting him fire a long-range blast after a short windup. While it may not look like a drastic measure at first glance, this will prove invaluable in finishing off enemies that escape just beyond the primary fire's reach.
Reinhardt's changes were detailed previously - he will get another Firestrike charge and the actual Charge ability will have better steering, allowing more pins and faster ultimate charging.
However, it appears that Bastion will receive the biggest changes but Blizzard doesn't appear to be ready to reveal them. His entire kit is apparently getting overhauled and the only mention of this is under a pile of other balancing announcements.
It remains to be seen how all this will fit with the new 5v5 PvP format.
