Not the one to miss out on the Cyberpunk 2077 hype train, Nvidia confirmed that CD Projekt Red's upcoming RPG will be available on Geforce Now from launch.
If you didn't know already, Geforce Now is Nvidia's horse in the cloud streaming race, and they're clearly not going to pass up on easily the hottest IP of 2020 - Cyberpunk 2077.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Cyberpunk 2077 is headlining the trailer, taking up the last slot and sending a clear signal Nvidia is pretty serious about competing in this space.
"GeForce NOW instantly transforms nearly any laptop, desktop, Mac, SHIELD TV or Android mobile device into the PC gaming rig you’ve always dreamed of. Instantly play the most demanding PC games and seamlessly play across your devices", the company wrote in the description.
As for Cyberpunk 2077, Nvidia didn't say what their offer entails, so we can assume it will be the same deal as the one for Google Stadia users. We're talking about a digital package containing the Cyberpunk 2077 original score, art booklet, the original Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebook, Cyberpunk 2077: Your Voice comic book and a bunch of desktop and mobile wallpapers.
As you can see for yourself from the trailer, Nvidia's RTX support is an added boon, which means Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to look even better.
CD Projekt Red have already confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 uses ray-traced diffuse illumination, which provides naturally scattered lighting, ray-traced reflection for maximum realism, ray-traced ambient occlusion for those crispy and realistic edges, and finally ray-traced shadows to complete the picture.
