Nvidia announced another AI-powered product that is specially designed to help gamers around the world in their pursuit to become pro streamers (or at least try to).
Sometimes you just want to enjoy the benefits of virtual worlds alone and play the match of a lifetime, but then you regret why the whole world wide web didn’t witness it. You want to stream but you have lousy equipment. Green screen who? Clothes are everywhere behind your back and next to you a three-year-old is jumping on pillows singing "The floor is lava."
Enter: Nvidia Broadcast app.
At yesterday's Nvidia panel, we had the opportunity to see amazingly promising GeForce RTX 30-series cards getting announced, which we are very excited about (our wallets not so much), but also a lot of other announcements, including the NVIDIA Broadcast app. This little tool could help gamers in their plans to try online streaming or just to isolate unwanted background noises, images, etc.
As stated on the official website , the Broadcast app offers three AI-powered features:
Noise Removal: remove background noise from your microphone feed – be it a dog barking or the doorbell ringing. The AI network can even be used on incoming audio feeds to mute that one keyboard-mashing friend who won’t turn on push-to-talk.
Virtual Background: remove the background of your webcam feed and replace it with game footage, a replacement image, or even a subtle blur.
Auto Frame: zooms in on you and uses AI to track your head movements, keeping you at the center of the action even as you shift from side to side. It’s like having your own cameraperson.
The good thing about all this is that the app is also useful for online meetings, which have not been lacking in the last six months. So we can have a Zoom meeting and use all the above features from the app.
It’s supported on any NVIDIA GeForce RTX, TITAN RTX, or Quadro RTX GPU and will be available late September.
