Nintendo's total numbers are in and whoa, people love The Legend of Zelda. The report details the number of software and hardware units sold during the course of the 2016/2017 fiscal year.

Last time I wrote about Nintendo's earnings since the Switch release, the console managed to sell 906,000 units, and BotW had an attach rate of over 100 percent. Those numbers were for the US and you can read the article . Nintendo has since released the reports of global sales.

First up, Switch, the console, was bought more than 2.74 million times since it went on sale on 03 March.

The Legend of Zelda: sold more than 2.76 million copies. Those are the Switch numbers. The Wii U version sold 1.08 million units, mainly because people didn't need an entire new console to run it.

The Nintendo 3DS sales are up 7.7 percent compared to the previous year and Wii U sales are down 77 percent. No, I did not forget a full stop between those last two sevens. The 3DS has also seen an increase in software sales, due in part to the 15.44 million units of Pokémon Sun & Moon moved during the course of the financial year.

Amiibo sold 9.1 million figures and 9.3 million cards.

Lets talk currency: Nintendo reported revenue of £3.41 billion, compared to some £3.48 billion from the last year's report. Net profit was £713 million, compared to £114 million a year earlier.

The company expects the numbers for Switch to go up to 10 million before this fiscal year is up. That would put Switch's momentum close to the Wii U's. They also expect a revenue of £5.19 billion and £313 million in net profit.

Lets also list some console and game names and put numbers next to them:
