Back in 2018, anonymous 4chan user leaked a map consisting of three islands, which reportedly was an early version of GTA VI map. Everyone assumed that the map was fake and the leak did not get a lot of attention from players but fast forward to today, it looks like this leak may not be so fake after all.
THE FIRST LEAK FROM 2018
As you can see in the 2018 leak, the smaller island on in the lower right corner of the map does not have any detail but the most recent image which appeared on 4chan last week features an updated design that shows us a densely packed city, a lake and another small island separated by the sea. OCTOBER 2020 LEAK
Could this be Cuba just like some rumours suggested? Well, it is possible that's for sure but at the moment, everything is just a speculation and nothing more. This map could be a fabrication but on the other hand, it would not be the first time that a map from Rockstar's games appears online way before the official reveal.
If the map is indeed legit, then it's clear that this is a very early version of it, probably from an early alpha.
All in all, we will just have to wait for more potential leaks to surface to see if this is indeed coming from GTA VI. Also, it will probably take some time before Rockstar start to talk about the game so these images will be around for quite some time.
