It looks like Microsoft listened to fan feedback and will remove the "Optimised for Xbox Series X" badge from game covers. Many Xbox fans have criticised the badge placement which is usually way too big, ruining the actual cover art.

Xbox fans who were unhappy with the "Optimised for Xbox Series X" badge, which was supposed to be a big part of Xbox Series X game covers, will be happy to hear that Microsoft have apparently decided to remove the badge from the front side and replace it with a more subtle mention on the back of the cover.

According to Niko Partners' senior analyst Daniel Ahmad, Microsoft listened to feedback from fans and will put the mention of the badge on the back. They won't even use the same bulky design for it, Ahmad says.

"Main change is removal of this logo on the front. Instead there will be a mention on the back of the case that it is Optimised for Series X," he tweeted.

The badge was initially planned for showcase on game covers of titles which use the full potential of Microsft's next-gen console. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and Dirt 5 are some of these titles.

"Games built using the Xbox Series X development kit are designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Xbox Series X. They will showcase unparalleled load-times, visuals, responsiveness, and framerates up to 120FPS," Microsoft explained the badge on the official website.

Xbox Series X is officially launching during Holiday season 2020. Rumour has it, a pre-orders are set to open very soon.
