A brand new continent is joining the landscape of Arkesia, but what exactly does that mean for Lost Ark, content-wise, as all we currently have is story-related?
South Vern will join Punika as the second Tier 3 continent, requiring an item level of 1340 to begin. It's a continent where the settlers borrowed technology from many different races to turn this once-barren land into a place of abundant waters and green pastures.
The developers gave us some lore we can expect to have, which consists of the Senate shutting South Vern down and forming a new knightly order, after hearing rumors of the dangers that plagued North Vern. Suspecting that something was amiss, Ealyn, the Queen of Vern ordered Knight Commander Avele to investigate.
This is where the players come into play. However, while this covers the story aspect of the new continent, it was confirmed by Roxx, one of the Community Managers of Lost Ark, that the game will not have any new Chaos Dungeons in South Vern immediately with the continent's release.

It would appear that April is slated to be a month for new players, or those that are not as dedicated, to catch up to the frontrunners, before new content is unveiled. Whether it's a good thing or not, remains to be seen. One thing is for certain though, in any case, there will complaints on the Lost Ark forums.
