Riot Games have announced the locations for the next three League of Legends World Championships. The first one will be held in France, Europe, followed by China and finally a return to North America after five years in other countries.

Fnatic have definitely justified being called one of the strongest seeds for World Championship 2018, having pretty much rolled over every team that lay in their path so far. Should they win the finals on Saturday, 03 November 2018, it would make Riot Games' plans for the next World Championship ever sweeter.

The company has announced the host countries for League of Legends World Championships for the next three years and the first one should be held in Europe. More precisely, France will be the host country and Paris the host city. Riot have chosen AccorHotels arena as the venue for the finals of World Championship 2019.

The next in line, chosen to host World Championship 2020, will be the country that the second finalist of the current World Championship hails from - China. It is no secret that Chinese audience make up the vast majority of the player base not only for League of Legends, but for any game they touch in general.

In League's case, Riot Games pointed out that the World Championship 2017 boasted over 80 million viewers in the semi-finals and that they appreciate the commitment and support from the Chinese fans. With that in mind, it is worth noting that they have almost doubled the viewership for the semi-finals this year, trampling the previous record with viewers.

The last on the of World Championship hosts will be North America, which has already been the host country three times. By the time the competition returns in 2021, it will have been five years since the last time it happened, back in 2016 when SKT T1 won their last world champion title. For now at least. You never know when Faker might go into monster mode and win the title again.
