League of Legends developer Riot Games has confirmed that a new Darkin skin line is officially coming to the game.
Called Visions of the Fallen, the new set of skins will turn champions into nightmare fuel variants of Darkin corruption. Scheduled to release in Patch 25.17, it will also be available alongside a new Elderwood skin as well.
Champions Receiving Visions of the Fallen Skins
The Visions of the Fallen skin line will include three champions:
Visions of the Fallen Tryndamere — Epic skin, priced at 1350 RP
Visions of the Fallen Garen — Epic skin, priced at 1350 RP
Prestige Visions of the Fallen Jarvan IV — Prestige-tier cosmetic with exclusive pricing
Each champions design concept reimagines them as tainted warriors who harness the power of the Darkin; a chaotic and powerful energy source used as a weapon.
Prestige Jarvan IV will also include a high-end rework, complete with intricate gold leaf and unique visual effects.
Visions of the Fallen: Additional Skin - Elderwood Alistar
In addition to these Darkin skins, Riot will be dropping Elderwood Alistar as a part of this update.
While the skin doesn’t share the Darkin theme, it is part of the popular Elderwood skin line that has been around for ages, and the fact that it is being released alongside Visions of the Fallen skins is giving players another option for champion cosmetics.
Release Date and Patch Info
Visions of the Fallen skins, as well as Elderwood Alistar, will be available to players from August 27th, 2025, as a part of Patch 25.17. This update should feature these skins as a part of the in-game shop, with the Prestige skin probably coming from event tokens or specialty loot.
Visions of the Fallen has taken a fun step by combining elements of dark fantasy with champion redesigns and is sure to provide players with interesting new visual narratives to explore on the Rift while appealing to lore fans as well as cosmetic collectors.
