In patch 12.12, Seraphine, the most hated champion in League of Legends, received a buff in a meta that favors enchanters like her already. And those buffs have now made her into a monster:
- E cooldown is reduced early and no longer decreases with rank.
- Slow/stun duration increased.
The developers say that they found Seraphine's impact in the game to be a bit underwhelming, and are boosting her CC a bit to try and make her more effective.
It seems they done fat more than that with this patch though, as Seraphine's win rate climbed by more than 3 percent in since the patch went live, with more than nine thousand games played on the champion in the support role.
It seems that, along with the buffs to the ADC Senna from the last patch, this duo is a new version of the Taric Sona bot lane, one with high base damage, and near invincibility due to their healing.
One thing to note about the current Seraphine is that, due to the change in cooldown reduction, her focus is on her W ability now, as her E becomes effective at level 1 immediately. It's just the thing we needed, the apparent return of the farm meta we can see forming before our very own eyes.
