Riot Games are releasing new League of Legends champions in quick succession during the pre-season. After Senna and Aphelios, it seems like Sett will be coming out fairly soon, at the very start of 2020.

Sett is League of Legends' next champion that falls into the Juggernaut class with the likes of Mordekaiser, Garen and Darius. As you may have guessed, these are the bruiser types that focus more on damage than utility.

In fact, Riot even compared Sett to Darius in their Champion Roadmap, noting that the Ionian underground fighter will be easy to pick up. After being dangerously close to a seizure after reading Aphelios' kit, this news was very welcome here at AltChar.

Anyway, this new champion was probably expected by players to be quite far away but it appears he might enter PBE as soon as December 2019, since he is expected to be released on 14 January 2020. This information comes from the leak on PBE , which includes some loot called "Sett's calling card" and the date of 14 January 2020, when the card will become available.

While Sett's calling card does not necessarily mean he will be available at the same time and could prove to be an additional champion teaser, it is also a strong hint that he will indeed come around on 14th.

Therefore, if Riot Games decided to keep him on PBE for two cycles, we could see the Ionian juggernaut before the year's end. Then again, it is the holiday season that's upon us, which also means less work time on hand so Riot could also push the champion testing for the beginning of 2020.

Given the wording and imagery on the Champion Roadmap , it is safe to assume Sett will channel some sort of fiery power, aside from slapping enemies senseless. It will be good to have him around during those cold January days.
