As League of Legends MSI 2024 draws near, players can anticipate the arrival of the Event Pass, offering additional rewards and accessories.
While many rewards can be obtained through regular gameplay, players seeking extra tokens and the chance to unlock the Prestige Empyrean Kayle skin may opt to invest in the pass.
Event Start Date: Scheduled to coincide with LoL Patch 14.9 on May 1, the event will align with the commencement of the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China.
Return of LoL Arena Game Mode
In addition to the special event pass, Riot Games plans to reintroduce the Arena game mode alongside MSI. The updated mode will feature new mechanics and gameplay, accommodating a total of 16 players (8 teams of 2) in the lobby.
This iteration aims to revitalize the experience and assess its potential as a permanent addition to the game alongside Summoner's Rift and ARAM.
Riot Games is reintroducing the 2v2 game mode, Arena, alongside the MSI event. New updates include the chance to play with 16 players (8 teams of 2), instead of the traditional 8-man lobbies.
New Arenas, mechanics, and gameplay will be added to keep the mode fresh and exciting. Arena will be available for the entire second ranked split as Riot tests whether it can become a permanent game mode like Summoner’s Rift and ARAM.
LoL MSI Pass 2024
Players can unlock additional rewards and accessories by purchasing the event pass. Free rewards are available by playing regularly, but extra tokens and the Prestige Empyrean Kayle skin require purchasing the pass.
Exact details and information are yet to be revealed, but it's expected to be similar to previous iterations.
