Konami have officially announced a delay of eFootball 2022 update 1.0.0, which is now scheduled to release in Spring 2022. On top of this, the publisher have cancelled Premium Player Pack.

After a disastrous launch, Konami can't seem to catch a break with their football simulation eFootball 2022.

Today, the publisher announced they have decided to postpone the update v1.0.0 to Spring 2022. Konami say they need more time to deliver a quality product. It's not all doom and gloom, though, Konami are releasing update v0.9.1 today. This patch brings bug fixes and some other minor improvements.

Furthermore, the Premium Player Pack has been completely cancelled. Players who pre-ordered the pack will get full refunds but this may take a couple of days. Bear in mind that Konami will automatically refund the full amount meaning that no action is required for players to receive the refund.

And while the Premium Player Pack will be cancelled, Konami are still considering their options for this paid content pack, suggesting it may return sometime in the near future.

Last but not least, Konami also delayed the update for the mobile version of eFootball 2022. They stated that the team was working hard to release the update this year but ultimately decided they need more time to deliver a quality update, which is why the update will be postponed as the team work on additional improvements to the game.

eFootball 2022 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and mobile.
