Kaze and the Wild Masks is having its open beta on Steam. The event will go on until 13 April 2020. The platformer was inspired by Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario World but the devs have added some colourful modern pixel art graphics.

The platformer's open beta will see its players explore the powers from several Wild Masks. The masks you'll encounter include:
Calling upon the masks' powers will give Kaze the ability to sprint, fly and swim.
Kaze and the Wild Masks will transport its players to the '90s, the golden age of platformer games. The game itself draws inspiration from Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario World but adds colourful modern pixel art graphics.
The players will land in Kaze's shoes as she attempts to save her friend Hogo from a curse that spread chaos around the islands. You'll be able to go up against enraged living vegetables by invoking the powers of the Wild Masks.
The masks will give you the powers to pounce like a tiger, soar through the sky like an eagle. You'll also be able to sprint like a lizard and survive the underwater levels with the shark mask.
