Seven: The Days Long Gone is a game with an identity crisis that may have been forgotten by many up to this point but Fool's Theory and IMGN.PRO have been continuously working on new content, culminating in Seven: Enhanced Edition.

Seven: Enhanced Edition will be available on 26 March 2019 on PC and 29 March 2019 on PlayStation 4. Those who own Seven: The Days Long gone will be able to upgrade to Enhanced Edition on the launch day for their respective platform but will have to purchase it if they miss the window.

Enhanced Edition will include Drowned Past which brings many fixes and new content to the table. Players will run into the Enclave which is not a sophisticated and brutal version of the government but rather a "ragtag group of mysterious vagabonds" who discovered a secretive vessel they hope to plunder for the riches.

The tone of that description may set you off the track as Seven is not a pirate game in any sense of the word. It mixes many genres and really has a somewhat unique identity crisis as it sometimes reminds of Thief, sometimes Assassin's Creed before Origins and sometimes an isometric action RPG.

To top it off, the setting of Seven can't really decide whether it wants to be cyberpunk or steampunk but it settled on portraying a somewhat dystopian future where the lower classes are oppressed by the rich, which you proceed to rob and whatnot.

While Seven's only true spotlight when the game was first announced, it managed to deliver a satisfactory experience to most of the players as it sits in the comfortable "Mostly Positive" zone with 77 per cent positive reviews on Steam. Metacritic tells a slightly different tale with critic score of 68 and user score of 7.2.

Seven found its way to Humble Monthly, various giveaways and countless Steam sales so it is possible that you already have the game in your library without being aware of it. If that happens to be the case, make sure you don't forget to upgrade to Enhanced Edition on 26 March for PC or 29 March for PS4.
