Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V was the best-selling game on PlayStation 4 in July 2019 according to the latest blog post from Sony. Minecraft and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled are following closely behind in second and third respectively.
According to the latest data from Sony, Rockstar Games' mammoth Grand Theft Auto V is still one of the most downloaded game on the PlayStation Store, almost six years after its release.
In a new post on PlayStation Blog, Sony shared the top 20 list of best selling games on PlayStation 4 in the month of July 2019. The list is topped by Grand Theft Auto V with Minecraft and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled in second and third spot respectively.
Grand Theft Auto V managed to top the list thanks to a massive summer sale which started in July 2019. GTA V's Premium Online Edition which offers the base game and Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack was on a huge discount, which resulted in increased sale numbers.
Beenox's remake of the iconic kart racer was in the first spot in June 2019, but didn't manage to keep the lead for too long.
The list also includes other big PlayStation 4 hits like Marvel's Spider-Man, FIFA 19 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. You can take a look at the top 10 best selling PS4 games in July 2019 below:
