In addition to a couple of new core Pokemon games for Nintendo 3DS and the Pokken Tournament port for the Switch, we are also getting a new core Pokemon adventure game. The new game is under development with the Switch in mind.
Fans of Samus, take heed: Metroid Prime 4 is in the works for the Switch and Metroid: Samus Returns is launching for Nintendo 3DS on 15 September. The 3DS version will be a remake of Metroid II from the original Game Boy. No release window has been given for Metroid Prime 4.
Kirby also has a game coming for the Switch in the future. The game only has a working title at the moment and there's not much to go on, but we know that there will be a four player co-op option. The release date for Kirby is also unknown.
Rocket League: the indie soccer game with awesome cars instead of humans will be making a transition onto Switch as well, and it will do so sometime later this year. When the game launches for the Switch it will feature some exclusive cars and Mario hat toppers. Cross-platform play with Xbox Live and Steam players will also be an option.
So...Super Mario Odyssey trailer got super weird. Some people wear their heart on their sleeve, and this plumber apparently keeps his soul (?) in his hat. The thing can possess anything, from a toad to a dinosaur and it looks super trippy. The hat also has a pair of eyes. It's all very confusing, but we won't be confused for much longer as Mario and his hat will arrive to Switch on 27 October.
Super Mario Odyssey will also bring three new amiibo. Mario, Princess Peach and Bowser, all in their wedding outfits will be available separately as well as a three-pack when the game launches in October.
Speaking of amiibo, four new based on the champions of the Breath of the Wild will be released for the holiday season. Those will be: the Goron champion Daruk, the Rito champion Revali, the Zora champion Mipha and the Gerudo champion Urbosa.
The Legend of Zelda: BotW is also getting an . If you own The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Expansion Pass will grant you access to three new treasure chests, a DLC Pack named “Master Trials,” and a second DLC Pack called “The Champions’ Ballad,”.
The first pack will be available on 30 June, 2017 and it includes: Trial of the Sword, Master Mode, Hero’s Path, Travel Medallion, Korok Mask and eight new armors.
